Carl Case
Carl Thomas Case, 100, of Eagan, the last of 12 siblings, died peacefully May 30, 2007, at Mission Nursing Home in Plymouth.
He was born May 15, 1907, in Algona, Iowa. Carl was in the dairy business for the first part of his life. While he technically retired from the dairy business, he never really retired and cautioned many never to retire.
Carl's avocation and first love was steelwork and welding. His work in his shop was a creative outlet and gateway to many friendships over the years. Carl took pride in his work and always had a better way to create or fix things. His creative genuis was most evident in his work with Alonzo Hauser, a gifted artist and sculptor, but also in his day-to-day work.
Carl cared for all animals. He was amazed at the intelligence of his dogs and cats and was considerate of their feelings. He also had a lifelong interest in music.
He was preceded in death by wife, Mildred; father, Zeph; mother, Anna (Blaska); sisters, Lydia Stofer, Sadie Royce, Dorothy Corbett and Florence Niesen; brothers, Phinneus, Humphrey, Ziph, Sam, Barney, Benny and Floyd.
He is survived by daughter, LaDonna Case; also by Ray and Peg Bohn and their family as well as other nieces and nephews; and companions, Sammy and Whitey.
Visitation and funeral services were June 4 at White Funeral Home, Farmington. Interment was at St. Michael's Cemetery.
