To the editor:

I believe all children, including those with special needs, deserve the chance to succeed to the best of their ability. As a student working with special needs children, I know that advocates for special education services are desperately needed at our state Legislature.

Shelley Madore is one of those advocates. As a mother of two children with special needs, Shelley has both knowledge and experience. You don't know what it's like to raise a child with a disability until you step into those shoes. Shelley and her family are walking that journey and have helped so many others along their way.

When I recently met Shelley Madore she impressed me on so many important issues. But her willpower to make a difference in special education is truly inspiring to those of us who work with, raise and advocate for these exceptional children. Please help me elect Shelley Madore as our Apple Valley and Burnsville representative to the Minnesota House of Representatives on Nov. 7.
