To the editor:

I would like to address the person or persons who vandalized our Christmas display in our yard on Holiday Avenue in Lakeville.

Shame on you!

Why would you want to destroy something that makes people smile and kids giggle?

My husband, son, and I put a great deal of time and effort in making our home light up the night with beautiful colors and signs of Christmas.

For whatever reason, whether it be boredom, a dare, or plain ignorance, you felt you had to take a knife and slice open our air-blown displays.

You may have destroyed our displays, but not our love for the holidays. I only hope you find it in your hearts to understand the true meaning of Christmas and that your future actions will change for the better.
