Help reduce effects of global warming
To the editor:
Lakeville is growing so fast that it will be the fourth largest city in the metro area by the year 2030! It has the potential to affect global warming far more than most cities. Of the 38 square miles that comprise Lakeville, the founding fathers saw fit to set aside 1,400 acres for parks and conservation. Counting lakes and wetlands there are 3,000 acres of land that can't be built upon. Trees reduce the effects of global warming a lot. Anything green and growing helps fight global warming. If you were thinking about cutting down a tree in your yard, don't, it is helping prevent global warming. Plant a tree instead.
