To the editor:

Thank you to the Lakeville community for its support of the first-ever Lakeville ECFE (Early Childhood Family Education) garage sale. Iím pleased to report that the sale held April 17 was a huge success. Donations were received from more than a dozen families, and eight consignors sold their merchandise. The sale generated more than $1,000 in proceeds, which the ECFE Parent Advisory Council allocated to provide new toys and equipment for the programís five classrooms. Families participating in ECFE classes in the fall can look forward to these new additions.

Thank you again to the Parent Advisory Council members, ECFE staff, consignors, volunteers, donors and the community for supporting this event. Thanks to this support, the Parent Advisory Council is planning another sale in spring 2005.
