To the editor:

As a member of Boy Scout Troop 268, I would like to thank the Lakeville City Council for allowing our troop to present the flags at the Feb. 17 City Council meeting. It was an honor to open the council meeting in this manner. As members of our troop work on their communication merit badge, we are required to learn how our government works. By presenting the flags and leading the gathering in the Pledge of Allegiance, we were able to participate in the council meeting as well as observe it.

Our thanks to the Lakeville City Council for its willingness to share its council experience with us.
