Marianne Hunchis Reynolds, 70, of Burnsville, formerly of Eagan, died Feb. 19, 2004, in St. Paul.

She was an elementary teacher from 1960-1993 in Burnsville. She was Burnsvilleís Teacher of the Year in 1978. She volunteered at Open Arms of Minnesota, was a speaker on HIV and AIDS, and belonged to HIV and AIDS support groups. She was a charter member of Mary, Mother of the Church.

She was preceded in death by son William, Jr., mother Kathleen Dorsey Hunchis, father Fred Hunchis, adoptive mother Julia Spaanum Hunchis and aunt Dorothy Hunchis.

She is survived by William E. Reynolds, husband; Anne Mary (Reynolds) Taylor, daughter; John Reynolds, son; Patrick, son; Katy Holden, sister; John, brother; Bill, brother; and seven grandchildren.

A funeral service was held Monday at Mary, Mother of the Church in Burnsville. Interment was held at Boheian Cemetery in Plymouth, Iowa.
