School play promotes homosexual agenda

To the editor:

The article on Eastview High Schoolís play, ìThe Laramie Projectî (based on the tragic murder of Matthew Shepard), quoted the director, Rob Rachow, saying that the play is not about gay rights.
Then what is it about? Rachow stated it is to ìtell us a lot about hate crimes, things we shouldnít be doing.î Does he actually believe we need a play to tell us murder is wrong and we shouldnít do it!

A review of the play by the national magazine Citizen stated of course the play evokes compassion, however it is nothing more than propaganda to further the gay agenda. The magazine calls the play ìthe Propaganda Project.î

It stated: ìIt also demonizes the other side, not just the murders but those who ëhateí ó and, by association, those who oppose homosexual behavior ... Those who criticize the homosexual agenda are called ëhatersí and are immediately rejected and never heard.î

Why not a play about Jesse Dirkhising, who was brutally raped and murdered, or how about a play on the Grant Hussey murder? Grant was an Eden Prairie teen who was sexually abused and slain by a neighbor. Matthew Shepard is a name most people know, but most people donít know about Dirkhising or Hussey.
By putting on this play, Eastview High School has endorsed and is promoting the radical homosexual agenda.
